Vice Admiral Thad Allen to be Commandant of the U.S. Coast Guard, and to be Admiral

Thomas J. Barrett to be Administrator of the Pipeline and Hazardous Safety Administration

Robert C. Cresanti to be Under Secretary of Commerce for Technology

Tyler D. Duvall to be an Assistant Secretary of Transportation

Roger Shane Karr to be an Assistant Secretary of Transportation

Robert McDowell to be a Member of the Federal Communications Commission

Nicole R. Nason to be Administrator of the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration

Rear Admiral (Lower Half) John C. Acton to be Rear Admiral (Upper Half) in the USCG Reserve

Rear Admiral (Lower Half) Jody A. Breckenridge to be Rear Admiral (Upper Half)

Rear Admiral (Lower Half) Arthur E. Brooks to be Rear Admiral (Upper Half)

Rear Admiral (Lower Half) John E. Crowley to be Rear Admiral (Upper Half)
