Commerce Committee Approves Nominees

WASHINGTON D.C. - Today the U.S. Senate Commerce, Science, and Transportation Committee voted on and favorably reported the following nominations:
Ms. Anne Ferro, to be Administrator of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration, U.S. Department of Transportation (PN 787);
Ms. Cynthia Quarterman, to be Administrator of the Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration, U.S. Department of Transportation (PN 953);
Mr. Erroll G. Southers, to be Assistant Secretary of Homeland Security, U.S. Department of Homeland Security (Transportation Security Administration) (PN 960);
Dr. Patrick Gallagher, to be Director of the National Institute of Standards and Technology, at the U.S. Department of Commerce (PN 1062);
Dr. Elizabeth M. Robinson, to be Chief Financial Officer, at the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (PN 973); and
Mr. Paul K. Martin, to be Inspector General, at the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (PN 1047).
The Committee also considered nominations for promotion of U.S. Coast Guard officers (PN 887, PN 888, PN 889, PN 890, PN 891, PN 892, PN 977, PN 978, PN 979, PN 1035 and PN 1095).
