Chairman Rockefeller's Statement on Senate Confirmation of TSA Nominee

(Jay) Rockefeller IV, Chairman of the U.S. Senate Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation, issued the following statement after the Senate confirmed John S. Pistole to be Administrator of the Transportation Security Administration and an Assistant Secretary of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security: 

“Today, the Senate has finally filled one of America’s most crucial national security posts,” Chairman Rockefeller said. “As the FBI's deputy director and second in command, Mr. Pistole has diverse experience and a broad investigative and national security background that will make him a highly effective leader at one of Washington’s toughest posts. I applaud Mr. Pistole for his continued service to our nation, and I look forward to working with him in his new role as TSA Administrator.”
