Assessing U.S. Preparedness and Response in the Arctic: The Opportunities and Challenges of Increased Marine Activity

WASHINGTON, D.C.—The U.S. Senate Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation announced the Subcommittee on Oceans, Atmosphere, Fisheries, and Coast Guard will hold a hearing on March 27, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. Alaska Daylight Saving Time titled “Assessing U.S. Preparedness and Response in the Arctic: The Opportunities and Challenges of Increased Marine Activity.” This hearing will examine U.S. preparedness for increased commercial maritime activity in the Arctic.
