Committee to Hold Hearing on Positive Train Control

WASHINGTON – U.S. Sen. John Thune (R-S.D.) chairman of the Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation, will convene a hearing titled “Implementation of Positive Train Control,” at 10:00 a.m. onWednesday, October 3, 2018. This hearing will focus on the current status of implementation of positive train control (PTC), anticipated compliance with the statute, and the challenges with efforts to install and operationalize PTC systems.
