Subcommittee to Hold Hearing on Logistics of Transporting a COVID-19 Vaccine

WASHINGTON – U.S. Sen. Deb Fischer, R-Neb., chairman of the Subcommittee on Transportation and Safety, will convene a hearing titled, “The Logistics of Transporting a COVID-19 Vaccine,” at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, December 10, 2020. The hearing will examine transportation and logistics plans for ensuring COVID-19 vaccines are delivered across the country. Witnesses will have the opportunity to discuss supply chain issues within the transportation network and ongoing coordination in preparation to distribute the vaccine, as well as the near and long-term outlooks for vaccine distribution.

- Dr. Rachel Levine, Secretary of Health for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and President of the Association of State and Territorial Health Officers
- Mr. Richard Smith, Regional President of the Americas and Executive Vice President, FedEx Express
- Mr. Wesley Wheeler, President of Global Healthcare, United Parcel Service
