January 15, 2020
WASHINGTON – Today, U.S. Sen. Roger Wicker, R-Miss., chairman of the U.S. Senate Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation, released the following statement after the committee approved the United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA) Implementation Act:
“Today the committee successfully advanced USMCA on a bipartisan basis. We are now one step closer to enacting this agreement, which would benefit manufacturers, farmers, ranchers, and agribusinesses of all sizes, and would provide enhanced intellectual property protections for the technology and creative industries. I thank my colleagues on both sides of the aisle for coming together to help move this legislation to the Senate floor.”
