U.S. Senator John Hickenlooper (D-Colo.), Chair of the Subcommittee on Consumer Protection, Product Safety and Data Security, will convene a subcommittee hearing titled “Protecting Consumers from Artificial Intelligence Enabled Fraud and Scams” on Tuesday, November 19, 2024, at 2:30 PM EST. The hearing will explore how artificial intelligence (AI) has enabled harmful consumer fraud and scams, how technologies like AI labeling, detection and disclosures can protect consumers, and how to empower consumers to recognize and avoid AI-enabled fraud and scams.
